Treatment of Type II Diabetes and Retinopathy

The study is to gauge the long-term effects of semaglutide on diabetic retinopathy.

  • Must have a diagnosis of Type II diabetes for at least 10 years with or without a diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have no ocular or intraocular treatment or diabetic macular oedema 12 months prior to screening
  • Must have an HbA1c 7.0-10.0%

Type I Diabetes

Primary Investigator: Dr. Lyle Myers

 

The study is comparing insulin Lispro to Humalog in adults.

  • Must be diagnosed with Type I diabetes
  • Must be 18-75 years of age
  • Must have been treated with an approved basal and bolus insulin regimen for at least 6 months (no changes in type or brand for 6 months)
  • Must have an HbA1c less than 11.0%

Hypothyroidism

Sponsor: Allergan
Primary Investigator: Dr. Wendell Miers

 

The study compares Armour Thyroid to synthetic T4 in previously hypothyroid patients who are euthyroid on T4 replacement.

  • Must be 18-75 years of age
  • Must have a diagnosis of primary hypothyroidism on continuous synthetic T4 replacement therapy for at least 12 months before screening
  • Medication dosage must be the FDA approved daily dose for a minimum of 3 months prior to screening
  • Must have a BMI of 18 to 40
